Why Area F PCRC Launched Traffic Corps in Lagos

Determined to complement the efforts of the police and FRSC in controlling what some Lagosians tame the embarrassing traffic situations in Lagos, members of the Police Community Relations Community, PCRC, Area F Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos, have launched a Traffic Corps.
Note that Lagos, former capital and commercial center of Nigeria with an estimated population of 20million people, is home to all ethnic nationalities and nations.
However, Elder George M Okoye, Committee Secretary for the Corps dropped this hint during a telephone interview with our correspondent at the weekend.
Speaking at the interview, Elder Okoye said “the launch is the first of its kind in Lagos during the tenure of Apostle Kekinde Showunmi, as Chairman, Lagos State Command of PCRC”.
He explained that with the launch, members of Area F PCRC are optimistic that all the nine commands and 13 divisions of the committee will be covered.
It is expected that with the ember months, the Area F PCRC Corps members with help in tackling traffic logjams and ensure the free-flow of traffics in most routes in Lagos, Okoye said.
