Veteran Journalist, Sam Arikpo, Received Lion’s Club Service Award in Calabar

District 404 A2 2020-2021 of The Lions Club Governor, Soni Omini Eloma, in Calabar, Cross River State, over the week presented Service Award to a dynamic Journalist Chief Obo Sam Arikpo, for his selfless service to the District.
The event took place at his residence in Ikot Enebong, Calabar on Tuesday.
The district Governor enumerated the humanitarian works carried out by the district which comprises, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Yonaqua and to includes.
The Healthcare Centre in Mbape, Abuja was constructed from its foundation to completion and handed over to the management of Mbape general hospital.
He said. “I wish also to remind you of the reported healthcare centre at the Henshaw Town, here in Calabar as well as construction of Atu Primary Healthcare centre.
Many people has also been tested for Diabetis, the Cataract surgery in Port Harcourt and many other projects of the district too numerous to count”
“For your contribution to the progress, advancement and dissimilation of our activities to the public, this district therefore, on behave of myself, and the district found you worthy to receive this award of service”
On his part, Chief Arikpo who has been sick for some time now, who is strong and hearty at the time of the visit, thanked the District Governor and the entire district for finding him worthy of the award.
His words, “I want to thank His Excellency and the entire district for finding me fit for the award and I want to say this will spore me up to do more, and I want to thank you for your support during the moment of my health challenges, thank you all for coming”
