Fact-check has shown that Axa Mansard Insurance Plc, seems to be improving daily in its online dealings with clients in our present world ravaged by coronavirus.
Penultimate Monday, based on a tip-off, our reporter left Ifo, in Ogun state, for Lagos, on a visit to some branches of the company.
Some of the branches visited were: Ijaiye branch at Ogba, Aromide and Opebi braches, both located at Ikeja in Lagos.
In compliance with the federal government directive on businesses operating in Nigeria going online, Axa Mansard, it was observed, kept all their offices under lock-and-key.
However, clients were instructed through a notice pasted at these offices to go online for all their business and other transactions with the company.
A client, names withheld, who runs an Axa Mansard money market fund investment with the company told this reporter that based on the notice, he downloaded the redemption form of the fund in the website of Mansard, filed, scanned and emailed the copy to its client services unit. This was on Wednesday, June 24.
His words: “I received notification of the receipt of the form almost instantly and was informed that it takes 24-48 hours for forms to be processed before payments for persons who fill and return it before 1.30 pm, each official working day”.
However, independent findings reveal that for those who return theirs after the dateline, it takes 3-5 working days, to process and make payments. This is confirmed through a message sent to the email address of this reporter.
But, the money market investor was excited when he further explained that on the same day at about 6.pm, he received a bank alert from his bank on the payment of his redemption by the insurance company.
Abdul Ahmed, a resident of Kano, Victoria Isong, a resident of Akwa Ibom and Gabriel Kayode from Osun state, who all claimed to be running one investment or policy with Axa Mansard also commended the company for its speedy manner of service delivery. In a telephone chat with our reporter, yesterday.
