THE CONVERGENCE 5.0 HOLDS NOVEMBER 25, PARTNERS WITH UK KTN FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN EKITI

Ado-Ekiti | Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 |The organising committee of The Convergence, the biggest youth-gathering event in Ekiti State, Nigeria is set to hold the fifth edition of the annual programme targeted at raising young leaders and entrepreneurs in various spheres of influence on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Adetiloye Hall, Fountain Hotel, Ado-Ekiti.

The event, designed to provide teeming youth with life-changing opportunities, is themed; “Redesigning a New Nigeria with New Ideas“. The idea for this year’s theme is derived from a fortuitous turn of events on economic, political, and social issues across the country; and as youths, we must take responsibility to create the change we desire. We will be engaging technocrats, politicians, and entrepreneurs in different Panel sessions, discussing potential innovations to unlock investments and job opportunities in Ekiti State. Topics to be treated are; “ENTREPRENEURSHIP: Developing Nigeria with Your Skills for Business Growth & Rudiment for becoming a Successful Entrepreneur” and “POLITICS: Redesigning Governance & Development; Youth involvement in Nigeria’s Politics”.

To further influence a more result-oriented event, this year, The Convergence will be partnering with Innovative KTN, the United Kingdom’s most significant innovation network and a part of the Innovate UK Group. Innovative KTN is currently delivering the 6-year (2019 – 2025) UK Aid-funded Global Alliance Africa project which aims to build new and stronger UK-African partnerships to maximise the creation of inclusive market access, funding, and investment opportunities through innovation knowledge transfer between the UK, Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya. We are proud to be running this year’s event alongside a top-notch foreign partner.

Other activities featured in the programme are; Cocktail event, a networking event hosted by Innovative KTN, with the officials of the Government of Ekiti State, and leadership of The Convergence in attendance; A Burn Fire event will hold later in the night to host members and attendees of The Convergence in a relaxed social gathering.
