THE CONVERGENCE 2021 HOLDS NOVEMBER 5 IN EKITI, SET TO HOST 3000 YOUTHS

THE CONVERGENCE is an annual event inspired by a mission to create enabling environment for the transformation of youth from job seekers into job creators. This is a positively-driven, life-changing event that highly engages and develops young minds for the future. The event is an initiative of Glimpse Nigeria.

The annual event which debuted in 2018, with over 5000 participants (physically and virtually) in attendance, has inspired, trained, and transformed over 1000 youths across Nigeria into change agents and job creators in different spheres of influence.

In line with this development, the Management of the epoch-making event is set to hold the third edition of The Convergence themed; ‘Trail Blazers’ on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Adetiloye Hall, Fountain Hotel, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State by 10 am.

The event, which will host over 3000 participants (physically and virtually) from various tertiary institutions and establishments will feature in attendance, major stakeholders in key sectors of Nigeria’s economy including notable representatives from the Government of Ekiti State.

About the Theme:
According to the Convener, Mr. Oluwatosin Adaraniwon, the inspiration behind the theme for this year’s edition (TRAILBLAZERS) is derived from the fact that genuine leaders point the way, take the risks, and change the conditions of the environment for growth and development.

“They have a vision for a different future, a faith that turns their dreams into reality, and a determination that cuts through barriers and obstacles,”

he affirms.

Some major highlights of the coming event focus on showcasing talented young persons who have been trained and established by Glimpse Nigeria (parent platform of The Convergence) on different skills in the last year. The event will also feature a Campfire programme, a side-attraction that intends to provide a social platform for networking, meet and greet, and fun moments.

Speakers and Panellists for this event are; Her Excellency, the First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi; Special Adviser to the Governor on Communications and Strategy, Mr. Akin Rotimi; Special Adviser to the Governor on Federal Matters, Mr. Makinde Araoye; Tobi Ajayi, CEO, NORD; Youth Advocate, Moremi Ojudu; Project Lead Bigif GBV, Mrs. Tumininu Adedeji; Social Worker, Mr. Oluwatosin Olaoluwa; Brand and Entrepreneurship Strategist, Comrade Lawrence Ogunshina; Real Estate Consultant, Adaralegbe Akintayo (Tpumpy Estates); and CEO Olydites Group, Mr. Henry Ogunrokode.

The event will be hosted by ace On-Air Personality, Ayodele Brown Akande (AY Nigeria) who also doubles as the Vice President of The Convergence. The Campfire segment of the event will be hosted by versatile MC/Comedian, Sola Gbelee (Cruscio).

In compliance with the Government of Ekiti State directives on COVID-19 Safety Protocols, this event will be duly controlled.
