Apostle saviour Francis, Visionary of Life Channel Assembly Inc, Liberation House, Ajah, Lagos, today explained the role pastors, Islamic clerics, and other religious leaders should play in the fight against corruption. as well as the 2023 presidential. election.

Speaking with our correspondent, Saviour, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, said  religious leaders are peacemakers, mediators, prayers warriors, pathfinders and intercessors, for unity, peace and progress in Nigeria.

He therefore appealed to religious leaders to stand in the gap and pray to ensure that the next president that could take over from Muhammed Buhari is chosen by God, not through the wishes of men and women in the country.

His words: “I do not care whether the president is a Christian, Moslem or belong to any other religious organization, but we should allow God to choose our president for us at this point in time”.

On the war against corruption, the cleric explained that since corruption begins in the family, at the local, state and federal levels, the moves to tackle corruption should also begin with parents and wards, who have a duty of training their children and wards in the ways of the God.

This is the only way to partner with the various anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria he said.
