MGDC Women Meet Over Welfare Of Members
By Emmanuel Udom
Female members of Gospel Deliverance Miracle Church, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, on Sunday, 10 April, 2022, held a meeting to deliberate on the spiritual, physical and other challenges facing some of them.
Speaking during the meeting held at the resident of Mrs Okon, located at Olore Street in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, leader of GDMC Women Fellowship, Mrs Elizabeth Ubong, appealed to women in the church to be more prayerful at this time of test, trials and tribulations.
“In addition to praying for our husbands and children, we are expected to support our loved ones at this point in time since the economy of our country has made it increasingly difficult for most people at various communities to make ends meet”, she said.
She further urged women in her church resident around Alimosho areas, who are not working or doing business to find ways and means of earning income through trading or getting paid jobs, no matter how menial, in order to contribute their quotas in supporting their families and living decent lives in their various communities.
As part of the welfare mission, it was gathered that the GDMC women raised some money as soft loans to some of their members who desired business start-ups and gave grants to some others who were in dare need of financial assistance to solve one family challenge or the other.
The fellowship, which was attended by over 100 female members of the church founded by Pastor Sunday Umana, featured praise worship, ministration, short exhortations, refreshments and group photographs.
