Ekiti State Government, through the office of the Special Adviser on Social Investment, distributed the Federal Government Cash Grant to women beneficiaries across the 16 LGAs of the state.
The beneficiaries include widows of late police officers, women with disabilities and indigent women across the state that are in dare need of financial assistance to alleviate their sufferings.
According to the Special Adviser on SIP to the State Government, Barrister Victor Kolade, “The Governor Kayode Fayemi administration will continue to provide enabling environment for the people of the state to benefit from available and relevant Social lnvestment Programes of the Federal Government. This aspect of governance is one of the Five Pillars of Mr. Governor’s Agenda for overall development of the State.
“We have carefully selected beneficiaries across the 16 Local Government Areas of the State. The succour will go a long way to improve their standard of living, coupled with other programmes targeted at alleviating poverty,” he said.
Kolade also urged Ekiti people to key into various empowerment programmes provided by the State Government, saying that the JKF administration has done a lot to put in place, opportunities for the benefit of all.
