The Cross River chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alphonsus Eba, has said the 7,000 aides of Governor Ben Ayade appointees will be sacked by January, nest year, if they don’t register and become the card carrying members of APC before the expiration of December 2021.
Eba gave the indication during a press briefing in Calabar with Journalists at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Center, Calabar on Tuesday.
He said the appointees had not registered as members of APC and gave an ultimatum to the aides until December 31, 2021, and called on every aides to take the chance and register or be relieved of their appointments on January 1, 2021.
“All the 7,000 appointees yet to be register with the APC must be relieved of their appointments,” he said, stressing that their positions will be filled by APC members. Gov. Ayade has since appointed 38,000 political aides during his tenure. He maintained.
The affirmed at the press conference that APC is the party to beat, noting that his view is shared by the many APC members in Cross-River State.
“We have had interactions with aggrieved members of our party. In the last count, not fewer than 100 distinguished party members, young, old, major, minor have been visited.
“The belief of every party member is that APC is the party to beat.”
He further stated that, “Ayade needs to be applauded by every Crossriverians following his unparalleled performance in every facet of infrastructure across the entire state”
Opine that the governor will do even more and appeal for everyone to support the governor to do more for the state.
