Covid-19 cases rises again in Nigeria with more death

On Sunday, COVID-19 cases in Nigeria shot up again, with nine people killed in the last 24 hours by the virus. In Adamawa, Osun, Oyo, Plateau and FCT Abuja, deaths have been reported. Adamawa had four deaths, Osun, Oyo and Plateau had one each, according to data released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. Two were also recorded by the FCT Abuja, representing a total of nine. The new fatalities raised the country’s total fatalities to 1,311.
Nigeria reported 917 new cases in its daily confirmed cases, a spike from what was reported on Saturday. The nation reported 576 cases on Saturday. By posting 222 new cases, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, took over the lead from Lagos, while Lagos reported 214 cases. A rise in cases, reporting 119, was also reported by Kaduna State, while Plateau got 92 and Nasarawa 50.
With Sunday’s cases, COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now 90,080, with 75,044 discharged survivors and 1,311 registered deaths. New cases were identified on Sunday in 16 States and the FCT.
