CLEEN Foundation: Lagos ACJA Working Group to Hold Workshop August 28
The Lagos ACJA Working Group is set to hold its 5th bi-monthly meeting, Friday, August 28, this year.
Samuel Akpologun and Ngozi Egbuonu, coordinators for the group in a statement issued on behalf of Board, Management and Staff of CLEEN Foundation, appreciated all the members of the group for their immense support to the implementation of ACJA 2015 and the digitization of court judgment on corruption project in Nigeria being implemented by CLEEN Foundation with the support of MacArthur Foundation.
The duo disclosed that the objective of the forth-coming meeting is to:
- share updates on the implementation of the ACJ Act/Law in the state, discuss challenges, gaps and proffer workable solutions, all in line with the provisions of the Act;
- analysis and feedback from the court observation and data collection process that show what trends are emerging viz-a-viz implementation of the laws that will serve as strong advocacy issues to key actors at the state level.
Relevant stakeholders from organizations that are part of the national project working group (with state structures) such as NBA, FIDA, justice actors and a few CSOs are expected to be at these meetings.
The meeting is scheduled to hold as follows:
