Chartered accountant congratulates PDP, Calls for team work ahead 2023 presidential election

Kufreabasi Udo, a chartered accountant, based in Akwa Ibom state, today, congratulated the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and its 2023 presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar, for the maturity, unity of purpose and sense of direction the party and all its members exhibited during the screening process.

Udo, said the choice of Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta state, as the vice=presidential aspirant to Atiku, shows in words and deeds that the party is ready to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from poverty, insecurity and marginalization unleashed by APC in the last seven years.

He however advised that in the same spirit of unity of purpose and direction that the opposition party has exhibited so far, notable members of the party like: Emmanuel Udom, governor of Akwa Ibom state and Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, as well as others should be co-opted into the main administration team of the PDP to wrestle power from the failed APC administration.

Udo further explained that Udom who contested alongside Atiku and other presidential aspirants polled 38 votes at the PDP primaries held Saturday and Sunday last week, to come a distance forth position.

Abubakar polled 371 votes to emerge winner of the party’s presidential primary to defeat his closest rival, Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers State, who polled 237 votes.

But, the Akwa Ibom governor is the only PDP presidential aspirant that has so far officially and openly congratulated Atiku, calling on Nigerians to support the opposition party and Atiku in order to rescue our beloved country, from all fronts.

This is indeed a nationalist, patriotic and noble gesture from a performing governor, who was aspiring to replicate his many achievements in Akwa Ibom state, in Nigeria.

Udom has shown in words and deeds that he is a true Nigerian, a nationalist and progressive minded person that is determined to do everything within his power to see to the unity, progress, peace and happiness in our country.

Here are some of the noble words of Udom to Atiku, PDP and indeed the good people of this country, “the former Nigeria’s vice president “has the capacity to rescue the country from the pangs of insecurity, economic gloom and disunity.”

“We ran this race like brothers and had agreed from the onset that the challenge before our country, which our party must solve, is the challenge to rescue and to restore our country. We also agreed that the victory of the winner at the Presidential Primaries will be a victory for all.

The governor, who contested the primary against Atiku called on Nigerians to support the PDP candidate.

“Today, Atiku a former Nigerian Vice President on the platform of our dear party has won and I trust he has the capacity to rescue our country from the pangs of insecurity, economic gloom and disunity.

“I urge all our party members and Nigerians to rally support for the emergence of Abubakar as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, come 2023.”

Atiku is an astute entrepreneur from Adamawa State, who served as Vice president of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 under President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He was also the PDP presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections, where he lost to the incumbent, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Since joining politics, the PDP presidential aspirant has contested for president of Nigeria five times, without success. This is his sixth entrance in the race.
