Boko-haram vs Nigeria Army: Boko-haram lost 20, gun trucks and weapons in Borno

During Saturday’s attempted assault on Askira Uba region of Borno State,At least 20 Boko Haram members met their death ,says the Nigerian Army .
This was revealed in a statement on Sunday by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 7 Division Maiduguri, Col. Ado Isa. saying terrorists suspected to be coming from Sambisa Forest, approaching the town from various directions simultaneously with 15 mounted gun-trucks,
But the soldiers retaliated and fought the criminals with superior firepower, with the terrorists suffering tremendous losses in terms of men, equipment and materials.
In particular, the troops seized four gun trucks from the terrorist, while the Air Task Force, which reacted rapidly, also destroyed several additional gun trucks.
“Scores of terrorists were killed and the dead bodies of over 20 terrorists were counted.
Also ,Three boxer motorcycles, three anti-aircraft guns, two PKT machine guns, 10 AK 47 rifles and 13 Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) bombs were also seized, as well as large ammunition caches and other weapons.
Isa said that during the encounter, one soldier was killed while two others were injured, adding that the injured were stable and responding to treatment.
May God grant peace to the dead soldier’s soul and swift recovery to the two wounded in battle.
“Troops under the command of the Army Chief of Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai will continue to maintain an aggressive, offensive stance to rid the remnants of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists of the entire North East,’ he said.
