46.8m Subscribers may face Blackout as AIRTEL Embark on System Downtime

No fewer than 46.8million Airtel Nigeria Plc subscribers may face blackout for about eight hours, as the telecommunication company embark on systems downtown mission, beginning from today. This is coming few days to the Muslim festivities.

A text message sent out about 4.00 pm today stated that the mission is expected to begin at about 11 pm, July 28 through to 7 am, July 29.

This means the subscribers may not be able to borrow airtime or data during this period, the company said.

Recall that the Airtel told its subscribers weekend that it was upgrading its systems and shut-down communications for hours.
