102.1million informal workers are living below poverty line in Nigeria- FIWON

Statistics available at the public domain reveal that there are presently 102.1million informal workers living in poverty line in Nigeria.
The National Bureau of Statistics dropped this not cherry news and was picked up by the Federation of Informal Workers Organization of Nigeria, FIWON, even as Muhammed Buhari is still holding forth as the president of Nigeria.
This figure, NBS and FIWON said grew from 43.1million in 2015 to this present figure.
The outbreak of the hell called coronavirus, did not help matters as Nigeria, the sleepy giant of Africa may have lost over N700billion during the lockdown.
But, Gbenga Komolafe, national secretary, FIWON, while the COVID 19 show lasted, some other countries paid rents, utility bills, grants, and stimulus packages to their citizens.
In Nigeria, struggling people, who depend on daily runs and struggles for survival died in their thousands while politicians hijacked the covid palliatives.
With a population of 203 million, 21.7milllion are looking for job in the Buhari-led tenure, while the pump price of petrol has increased to N160 per litre, as electricity tarrifs also increase to between 100%- 300%. He said
